SERENA, starring Bradley Cooper and Jennifer Lawrence Debuts on VOD Next Thursday, February 26 in Advance of March 27 Theatrical Release


Los Angeles, CA  – February 20th, 2015 -  SERENA, the new film starring Academy Award nominee Bradley Cooper and Academy Award winner Jennifer Lawrence will debut on iTunes and On Demand everywhere this Thursday, February 26th in advance of its theatrical release on Friday, March 27th.  Directed by critically acclaimed filmmaker Susanne Bier (director of Best Foreign Language Oscar winner IN A BETTER WORLD) and based on the bestselling novel by Ron Rash, SERENA is a sumptuous period romance that marks the third collaboration between the two actors after SILVER LININGS PLAYBOOK and AMERICAN HUSTLE.


On Thursday, fans will be able to get an advance look at the film will be available on iTunes, AT&T UVerse, Comcast, DirectTV, Dish, Time Warner, Verizion FIOS and more,before its release in theaters across the country on Friday, March 27th.


Cooper and Lawrence play George and Serena Pemberton, passionate, love-struck newlyweds who are building their timber empire in the North Carolina mountains at the end of the 1920’s.  Serena proves herself equal to any man, overseeing loggers, hunting rattle-snakes and even saving a man’s life in the wilderness.  With power and influence on their side, the Pembertons refuse to let anyone stand in the way of their inflated love and ambitions.  However, once Serena discovers George’s hidden past and faces an unchangeable fate of her own, their passionate marriage begins to unravel – thrusting the pair toward a dramatic reckoning.


Lawrence and Cooper are reuniting yet again with director David O. Russell on JOY, currently shooting in Massachusetts.
