Mathias Gold (Kevin Kline) is a down-on-his-luck New Yorker who inherits a Parisian apartment from his estranged father. But when he arrives in France to sell the vast domicile, he's shocked to discover a live-in tenant (Smith) and her protective daughter (Kristin Scott Thomas) - neither of whom are prepared to budge.

With its unique blend of comedy, drama and ultimately romance, MY OLD LADY marks the directorial debut of internationally celebrated playwright Israel Horovitz, adapting his own hit play.
