“Fourth Annual Sun Valley Film Festival Prepares For Launch”

Sun Valley, ID --The Sun Valley Film Festival, presented by Zions Bank, has announced new additions to its lineup for the fourth annual Festival, March 4-March 8, 2015, as preparations are being finalized for the event launch.


Actor Chris Cooper joins The Film Lab, via Skype, to discuss his latest work, Coming Through the Rye. Host, Michael Tully of Hammer To Nail, dissects the work-in-progress film with writer/director Jim Sadwith, producer Stan Erdreich, producer and Festival Executive Director, Teddy Grennan to fuel the discussion. Mr. Cooper plays J.D. Salinger in the true story about a boy who runs away from boarding school in 1969 to find the famous recluse in the New Hampshire woods. The Film Lab is a unique collaboration between Tito’s Handmade Vodka and SVFF.


Actor Scott Glenn and producer Travis Knox will be on hand for a Q & A after a special complimentary sneak peek screening of director Basil Owies’ thriller, The Barber. The life of a small town's beloved barber (Glenn) is turned upside down by the arrival of a mysterious stranger. This special sneak-peek free festival film is Glenn's secondpremiere at the Sun Valley Film Festival. Glenn is no stranger to thrillers. Known for his roles in Silence of the LambsThe Bourne Identity series and The Hunt For Red October, Glenn has had a prolific acting career appearing alongside stars such as Denzel Washington, Sean Connery, Anthony Hopkins and Robert De Niro. 


Trevor Groth, Director of Programming for the Sundance Film Festival, has been added to the Coffee Talks lineup and will share his insights and experience. Mr. Groth joins previously announced Coffee Talkers Bill Paxton and Bruce Dern. The popular, free Coffee Talks are one of the Festival’s key signature programs and provide an intimate exchange between audiences and top industry insiders.


As announced, the festival will honor Hollywood legend Clint Eastwood with its inaugural Lifetime Vision Award. In addition to the special presentation to Mr. Eastwood, the 2015 Sun Valley Film Festival has added a 5th day of signature programming, and will screen more than 60-curated films followed by filmmakers Q&A sessions.
