ANNAPURNA INTERNATIONAL TO HANDLE INTERNATIONAL RIGHTS FOR NASH EDGERTON’S “AMERICAN EXPRESS” OUT OF CANNES


 

(LOS ANGELES, CA) May 12, 2014 – Annapurna International is handling the international rights of AMERICAN EXPRESS directed by Nash Edgerton (THE SQUARE) out of Cannes, announced Head of International Sales Kimberly Fox today. The film will be produced by Annapurna Pictures and Denver & Delilah. Charlize Theron is in negotiations to star.

The Cannes Film Festival will also serve as the re-branding of Panorama Media to Annapurna announced Annapurna founder and principal Megan Ellison along with Fox. The new name will streamline the financing and international sales arm with Annapurna’s day-to-day film production and finance business under one name.

Annapurna International will continue to handle sales of Annapurna’s titles as well as third party projects. In addition to AMERICAN EXPRESS, Annapurna International will also handle the international rights to John Krasinski’s THE HOLLARS, for which Annapurna International will handle international sales at the festival. THE HOLLARS cast includes Krasinski, Anna Kendrick, Richard Jenkins and Margo Martindale.
