“2016 Sun Valley Film Festival Announces New Special Guests and New Films”

Chris Moore, Amy Smart and Carter Oosterhouse to present at Coffee Talks

The Confirmation will screen US Premiere, Children will screen World Premiere


Sun Valley, Idaho…. The 2016 Sun Valley Film Festival (SVFF), presented by Zions Bank, has confirmed that several new special industry guests, producer Chris Moore, actress Amy Smart and HGTV star and lifestyle expert Carter Oosterhouse, will present at its popular signature Coffee Talks, which are offered free to the public each morning during the festival.  SVFF Lifetime Vision Award honoree Oliver Stone will also present a Coffee Talk at 2016 SVFF.

Chris Moore has worked in Hollywood for nearly 30 years, starting as an agent representing writers and directors including M. Night Shyamalan, and then transitioning to producing.  As a producer, his filmography includes The Adjustment Bureau, Howard Zinn’s documentary The People Speak, FeastWaiting, Iconoclasts, Best Laid Plans, Joy Ride, and the Academy Award®-winning Good Will Hunting.  He is also the co-creator of HBO’s Project Greenlight and STARZ’ The Chair.  His filmography also includes the highly successful series of American Pie films, Reindeer Games, Pop & MePromised LandThink Tank and The Can.  He founded several industry companies over the course of his career including Launch Media, LivePlanet and most recently, The Media Farm.

Amy Smart has starred in over 60 feature movies and television shows over her 20 year film career.  After steady appearances as Alison on the television series Justified, Amy was most recently seen in the film Break Point alongside actors Jeremy Sisto, David Walton and J.K. Simmons. She is currently working on two new independent film scheduled to premier next year.  Previously, Amy starred alongside Ashton Kutcher in The Butterfly Effect, Jason Statham in Crank and Crank: High Voltage, Emmy Rossum and William H. Macy in the hit television series Shameless, and Ryan Reynolds in Just Friends. She was also seen alongside names such as Matt Dillon and William Dafoe in Bad Country. A Los Angeles native, Amy who got her start in TV-movies and made her feature debut in Stephen Kay's The Last Time I Committed Suicide screened at 1997's Sundance Film Festival alongside Keanu Reeves. She was a relatively new arrival to the film scene when she first gained notice for her supporting roles in the hit teen films Varsity Blues and Outside Providence. Other credits include Rat RaceFelicityScrubs, and Single Moms Club.

Carter Oosterhouse is one of America’s most recognized lifestyle experts. Having carried many popular television series ranging from TLC’sTrading Spaces and HGTV’s Red and Hot & Green to Million Dollar Rooms and Celebrity Motor Homes. Most recently, Carter played host to FYI’s Home Grown Makeover and will be co-hosting ABC’s hit primetime series, The Great Christmas Light Fight. Carter’s unique combination of skill, passion and charm has given him widespread appeal for families and individuals alike seeking to improve the quality of their lives by enhancing their surroundings.
