Los Angeles – May 17, 2012 – The Oogieloves in The BIG Balloon Adventure is set to open in theaters on August 29, 2012 in what is planned to be the widest Independent Family release in history and the biggest release of any genre for a Labor Day weekend, it was announced today by Kenn Viselman, founder of Kenn Viselman presents…, Inc., and the producer of the movie. Filming has already begun on the sequel, The Oogieloves in The BIG Family Adventure, which has been slated to premiere on August 28, 2013 and the third Adventure in the series, The Oogieloves in The BIG Holiday Adventure is in final scripting stages for release Labor Day weekend 2014 and will be shot back to back with The BIG Family Adventure.
The theatrical releases, which are being distributed by Kenn Viselman presents…, Inc., are groundbreaking interactive family adventure feature films which were created to allow all members of the family including the youngest in the audience to actively participate in the motion picture experience. In an experience that has never been done before, audiences are invited to get up in the theater to join, sing and dance along with the three onscreen Oogieloves, Goobie, Zoozie and Toofie and their loveable and wacky friends, J Edgar (their vacuum cleaner friend), Windy Window, Schluufy and Ruffy the Fish, as they go on fun and funny adventures throughout LovelyLoveville, simply the loveliest place on Earth.
“We have had an unprecedented acceptance of this new and exciting theatrical experience by ALL of the theater circuits, ALL of which are actively persuing our Labor Day opening,” said Kenn Viselman. Viselman goes on to say “We have purposely held back our licensing program for this first movie, as our characters were unknown and we wanted our audience to get to know and love them prior to introducing a major program. But, because we do know that parents will expect to have and ultimately demand that product is available to extend the play experience off the screen, we have created a new category of plush, "The Oogielove Bendable Plush," to premiere with the film’s opening. This licensing show will be the first time we will begin talks with potential partners for a program to be introduced.”
This film has an advertising and promotion budget which rivals a major studio release and several promotional partners who will be announced in the coming weeks. Additionally, Viselman has plans to extend the adventure to The Licensing Show with a scavenger hunt to take place during the first two days with a prize of $50,000 awarded to the winner.
